Great turnout today, 45 on the coach, good to see so many out. There were 23 for the B walk and we set off not where I intended but it was an easier spot for the bus to stop. This added about half a mile to the walk but it was the perfect day for walking, dry, sunny, not too cold and great visibility. We soon found ourselves at the trig point on Annan Head enjoying some great views. It was then on to the lovely cairn at the end of the Annandale Way. This section had a bit more ascent involved than I remembered, maybe I’m just getting older. Along this section Christine felt unwell but she soon recovered and I hope she is fully recovered now. We had lunch sitting in the sunshine and made our way down into the glen and along the minor road back to Moffat. Along the way we passed a big Gorilla sitting in the sunshine, not what you normally expect to see in Moffat. Much discussion along the way about Brexit, Hilary and Donald. What a mess the world is in was the only conclusion reached but everything was fine in Moffat, a lovely day. Thanks to everyone who came along.
