Ann's Walk
Daily 4 mile walk. Up Warwick Road, along Eastern Way, down London Road then through City Gates back home. All in beautiful sunshine. Simply couldn’t resist this photograph.

Jo's Walk
Starting from anywhere in the Stanwix,/Lowry Hill area or the Redfern Inn
on Kingmore Road.
Approaching the Redfern from Etterby Scar turn left just before the pub and walk along Etterby road. Follow the road round to the left at the bottom onto Stainton Rd bearing right again at the end of the lane. Continue along this lane until you reach a house on a right hand bend. Although this is a section of road walking there were very few cars. There is a footpath sign indicating a path behind the house. This takes you under the A689 bypass.
On reaching a gate turn left then look for a gate on the right, this track then leads you to the river. Follow the river bank in a wide loop back towards Stainton and Etterby, once more passing under the bypass. It is a very quiet area, we saw only a couple of people here.
Great for bird watching: Oyster catchers, Sand Martins, Swifts, various ducks and a heron.
