 Talkin Tarn

Today Pat Goulding and I felt adventurous and decided to brave Gelt Woods then walk to Talkin Tarn for picnic lunch and back.    Meet up at 10.30, travelling in separate cars.   We were both that keen we were there at 10.15..   It was my choice and I wanted to ‘climb’ a hill or two!    Despite there being a lot of parked cars, we saw relatively few people and those we met were most respectful of the rules.

Talkin Tarn has a One Way Anti Clockways Walking system which didn't matter to  our  Master Plan because we to turn off at the Hotel.     When it was 12.00  we sat ourselves on a bench seat with fine views and then enjoyed a very leisurely lunch.   Back on the trail and just around the corner we passed this beautiful and lovingly preserved seat.   Blast.   We could have had “Fine Dining” if only we had waited!
