Sometimes lady luck is on your side. Walkers today enjoyed one of the best - if not the best - days of the year so far. A bold statement but true. It was quite warm but when we caught the breeze it was fine. The clarity of the views was simply stunning. 10 made the trip to beautiful Wasdale and the walk was completed as planned and with lots of stops and photos to appreciate such a glorious day on the quiet Western Fells. Having spotted a sign in Gosforth "best beer garden in Gosforth " we decided to put that to the test on the way back- pleased to confirm the Gosforth Hotel is well worth a visit. Very many thanks for everyone's good fun and company.
