Five members met to take this first A walk in some relieved excitement to be once again back on the high fells. The weather couldn't have been better - sunny and clear all day even though a bit chilly but no worse. Views were extensive and made the walk well worth the effort - we were all aware that we were not as fit as we once were but no one complained! After a steady climb up to Ladyside Pike the first ridge completed saw lunch taken on Hopegill Head along side a few other walkers but generally it was quiet with people meeting only on the tops. We walked the full length of Whiteside before reluctantly retracing our steps to start the descent down past Dodd and the road walk back. All agreed a brilliant day had been enjoyed. Thanks to everyone for coming out to play.
David.
