Six club members including first timer Bob made their l way to the Keswick War memorial in time for the Remembrance Sunday service. We then walked  to the parish church perched on a raised bit of land giving fine views  of Skiddaw across the lake to Causey Pike and Catbells. The weather was beginning to close in  as headed for the lakeside with time for a brief walk to Friars Crag before taking the launch to Brandelhow and a lunch spot close to the water’s edge. There was still plenty of autumn colour to admire through Brandelhow Wood and we were caught by the second  group  just short of Lingholme, with the two groups combining for the final mile and a bit to Portinscale
