Thank you from

Iām not sure if there has been a larger group walk in recent club history but 30 walkers was certainly a personal best for this walk leader. Not only that but the group included several novice walkers and a visitor from Canada.
With so many walkers to keep track of and with a route taking in one of the Lake District hot-spots I was very grateful for the help of experienced old hands Graham Bell and Ken Halliday who kept everyone safe (apart from Graham himself who took a tumble) The very warm conditions made the climb onto Loughrigg challenging and special mention also goes out to new member Michelle who kept going to the top of the fell. A slightly more direct descent was made from the top of Loughrigg missing out a visit to the tarn, which also slightly shortened the route. I hope all the other 29 walkers enjoyed the day as much as I did.

My grateful thanks to Michelle, Diane and Linda for their kindness in administering first aid when I had my embarrassingly silly fall on the descent of Loughrigg yesterday.
My problem now is removing the massive plaster from my hairy leg - OUCH!!!!!!!!!!
