1The choice of walk assumed that the A6 would be a priority root for gritting if we had inclement weather. Wrong! However the strong winds that had been forecast seemed to have subsided so it was a lovely walk over the snow clad summits. We made really good progress so extended it over Casterfell hill. After lunch we headed back up the valley where we were blown away by the force of the wind which funnelled down the valley. It certainly put some colour in our cheeks.
