7 of us assembled at the Sands and made our way to Cow Bridge at Hartsop. The weather was stuffy/close/hot!! We started up the 1st part and I did warn them beforehand that it was a bit steep towards the end of this part! It was a bit gruelling. However, we managed after a few huffs and puffs.  When we reached the 2nd of the "Pikes", we decided to have lunch here because the views were amazing! We marched on passing "Rest Dodd" making the final ascent of the day to "The Knott". We then descended to Cow Bridge and made our way to the White Lion" pub to have refreshments. A good day out  and the troops seemed to enjoy it."
