A group of 23 assembled in the car park at Gatesgarth for Christine’s final Wainwright. The weather stayed fair and we were rewarded with the promised views as we made our way up the front of Fleetwith. As we neared the top it was evident a few more people had assembled and we became a crowd of 31. The fizz and birthday cake went down a treat. By the time we got onto Haystacks the leader had no idea how many were in the group but 27 made it back to the car park at Gatesgarth. All accounted for!

What a brilliant day I had. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it so special for me. Massive Thank You to Ann for putting this walk on and looking after everyone on the day. Also special Thank You to Graham Bell for persistently asking me to join this amazing club, until I eventually gave in haha One of the best decisions I have ever made. Round 2,1 ticked off 213 to go
