Not many out today, only nine at the Sands, five for the A walk and four for the B. it was a lovely morning, nice and warm, as we set off from Low Gelt. We went off at a cracking pace through Brampton, along the old railway line and in no time at all we were at Talkin Tarn. It was very busy, lots of people around and lots going on, archery, rowing, fishing and loads of dog walkers. We had to negotiate some road works on our way to Gelt Woods and we came across a useless sign, “Cats Eyes Removed “why do they bother with a sign to state the obvious. The RSPCA will no doubt be delighted to know there was no queue of cat owners to take advantage of the offer. We made our way through Gelt Woods to Middle Gelt where we stopped for lunch and then it was off along some lovely paths which eventually brought us back to Low Gelt, it was then off to Hayton Farm Shop for refreshment. A delightful walk, many thanks to Stephen for leading.
