Fortune rewarded the brave today. The forecast made a soaking today almost a sure thing. Just like my lottery win, the rain never materialised. Twelve of us enjoyed a relaxed walk on the easy fells above Wythop. There was a bit of a breeze at times but with it being warm I dont think it caused a problem.Some great views of Bassenthwaite Lake and the surrounding countryside were to be had. Sale fell and Ling Fell were conquered in good time and even with a leisurely lunch we were back at the cars in a good time. This gave us plenty of scope to take 15 minutes out to have a look at the Osprey which I hope the gang enjoyed. It was then off to Cocklakes Cafe where a natter with tea, coffee and cakes were had. All in all a pretty good way to enjoy a Sunday. Thanks to everyone who came out.
