When we have glorious sun shine we are all happy -full bus, contented ramblers and NO raindrops falling on our heads. The stunning scenery just added to the whole day, we are so lucky to have this amazing lake on our doorstep.

Almost 30 B walkers set off around Crummock water and despite the boggy slippery conditions causing a few tumbles we all made it back unscathed.

However- I only returned with 10 walkers as for many Scale Force was a waterfall too far and early coffee and cake held more allure, so they headed straight back to Butteremere.

Thank- you to everyone who circled the lake with me creating another fabulous day on which we can all reminisce.

(Apologies to Lynda who got soaked through on Wednesday’s recce when a 10ft wave crashed over the wall at the north end of the lake).
