What a beautiful day it was today, let’s hope this weather continues for the rest of the summer. Stephen led fourteen of us from the William Howard School along some footpaths towards Brampton old cemetery and church. We were joined by several guests today, Yin and Eugene from Malaysia and Philip from Australia, Mike’s sister, all the way from Hawaii, also joined us.  I hope they enjoyed their day. Having never been to the old church or cemetery and not even knowing of their existence, I found them really interesting, it might sound a bit morbid but I do like looking round old cemeteries. We made our way to Walton and stopped for tea and coffee in the café before marching on to Lanercost Priory for lunch. It was then through some beautiful woodland paths, alongside the river, and back into Brampton. We finished off the day with refreshments at Hayton Farm Shop. A wonderful day and a wonderful walk.
