Great group of 10 enjoyed a good 10 mile work out tackling bits of new territory around paths and tracks not often walked. At the lunch stop having not lost anyone down any holes, quite an achievement!) we were rewarded with a fantastic variety of Isabel’s chocolate brownies, thank you Alison for sharing,definitely the highlight of the walk! Although the sun did not make an appearance the day remained warm and dry. At one point an open gate did intrigue a few to investigate a path but only for a very brief moment as the sound of a bag of jelly babies soon had us all back together again! We were made very welcome afterwards enjoying some refreshments and a slightly stronger beverage at the Reading Room in Walton. Great day with great company thank you all for coming along.
