Souther Fell

A good 8 mile ramble to blow away the Cobwebs with twenty walkers out.
After a gentle start from Mungrisdale we made the climb into Mousethwaite comb and on to the top of Souther Fell
There was a strong wind blowing but we stayed mostly dry and enjoyed lunch on the leeward side of the fell. We returned to the summit then descended to the river Glenderamackin for a very soggy descent, a good test of how waterproof our boots were, though at least we had the wind at our backs. 
We made back to the village in good time and took refreshments at Base Camp
A great walk to see out the year. Thanks  to everyone who came along.
