Carlisle & District Rambling & Fellwalking Club

Walk & Event Reports

A baker's dozen turned out for this 7 mle ramble circuiting Loweswater. Although the weather closed in as the walk progressed we were always below the clouds and enjoyed fne views of the surrounding fells until they disappeared into the mists. Lunch was taken by the unnamed tarn tucked under black crag and then we made the steady climb contouring under Gavel and reaching the small bench that marks a superb viewpoint down the length  of Loweswater and Crummock water.
A steady descent brought us back to the cars with time for refreshments in Cockermouth. A great walk and we stayed dry all the way round,
Thanks to everyone who came along.
