The weather just about held out for the walk, which started in almost-sunshine and finished in persistant drizzle. Still, 14 walkers enjoyed muddy riverside paths and an impressive waterfall as well as red squirrels along the way. The walk leader was also introduced to geo-caching and assisted in finding one hidden geo cache. I’m not sure if this would cache on (geddit) for regular club walks, although it might be an interesting activity for a Thursday night walk in the summer. The group also learned what a Hagioscope was (ask one of them on the next walk) when they stopped for a coffee break at the lovely, ancient Ormeside church.
All in all an interesting ramble that made the best of the day. Thanks to everyone who came along
