Bleaberry Fell

The forecast was grim so it wasn’t a surprise that the numbers out were small. A new member, Julie pitched up so welcome to her. Eight of us in total headed down to Ashness Bridge and luckily some of us know where it is😆. Setting off toward Bleaberry Fell the views and light down Derwent Water were brilliant. We soon hit the summit of Bleaberry but didn’t hang about so it was off to High Seat. As often the case the few who ventured out got lucky. Although pretty cold and you couldn’t hang about it stayed dry all day. The big hills had snow on and the views were great. As anticipated it was boggy in places but these were easily got around unless you have little legs like Astrid. A quick lunch meant Alan couldn’t eat his Yoghurt then off to High Tove and down to Watendlath.
A contrasting walk back to the cars along Watendlath Beck and then Base Camp for coffee and cake. A big thank you to everyone who came out on what could have been a bad day, but I hope like me you thought it was a cracking outing.
See You next time, sunshines for wimps.
