Three on the B walk this day enjoyed the quiet beauty of Ennerdale Water in good weather with clear visibility all round including the snow sprinkled tops of Pillar and Steeple adding to the feeling of remoteness amongst the high fells. We opted for the higher level path over Anglers Crag to benefit from the visibility before tackling the rough rocky South side of the lake followed by the easy tracks back to the start with a lunch stop along the way. Welcome refreshments taken in the Fox and Hounds. Many thanks for the good enjoyable craic.
