A Walk
Place Fell
Leader:Alan Dobson
Report by Alan Dobson
Only 3 on the A walk today Christina, Lauren and myself , a day of sunshine blustery wind thick mist blue skies and rainbows , we set off in reasonably dry conditions and half way up Place Fell decided to take a de-tour to angle tarn which put two miles onto the walk. Angle Tarn looked very tranquil and not a person in sight, climbing to the summit of Place Fell it was very windy with some heavy showers and it was quite difficult to stay on your feet at times , From the summit we dropped down to the sheep pens them to the top of High Dodd where we found shelter for lunch in the now sunnier condition . From High Dodd it was a steep descent to the Coffin Path and the long trek back to Patterdale over the rough surface and coffee and cake at Said Farm Caffee, Thanks to the two ladies that joined me
