What a lovely walk we had tonight. Fifteen of us set off from Ivegill Village Hall on a beautiful warm sunny evening. We made our way through some lovely fields and woods and visited the now derelict High Head Sculpture Park. A few sculptures are still around but I was surprised to find that they are plastic. Though derelict the park had one occupant, a lovely little donkey who was delighted to see us and followed us all the way through the park. He took a shine to Ken and looked very sad and disappointed when he couldn’t follow us through the kissing gate at the end of the park. We said goodbye to the donkey and walked along some lovely woodland paths and fields, arriving back in Ivegill in perfect time to head off for a very nice dinner in the Crown. A lovely evening, some great crack along the way, a great bunch of walkers, thanks to all of them for coming along.
