28 walkers joined me on a lovely morning. Our walk began through the woods below the Castle Hill and the fresh green of the beech trees and the bluebells plus other wild flowers too numerous to mention were delightful. We observed the many stages of pheasant rearing before crossing over to the Becks Burn for a lunch stop. Then we walked through Gaskells Wood and towards Skippers Bridge noticing the start of a new housing development. We then followed the track through the Kernigal Wood before descending into the Buccleuch Park and heading for refreshments in the Buccleuch Centre. Thanks to Ken for backmarking and to all for their cheerful company.
