Despite Graham’s reputation for too much mud, too many stiles, too many miles,

he obviously uses the right After Shave because this week he had too many Punters and too few cars.

Joan Benson and I had our bus passes with us so we concocted a plan to take the bus to Penrith and walk to Brougham Castle.   However, Stan came up with a better plan and dropped us off at The Archive Office where followed the river to Wreay and back through Wreay Woods spending a long time at the Museum and having lunch in the very well kept cemetery.   We did much laughing  and chin wagging for approximately 7 miles.   Home just before the rain, a great day out and it didn’t cost us a penny!
