We overcame my Senior Moment regarding meeting time at The Sands. 30 of us plus Fred (my daughter’s dog) set off to wend our way back to Cherrie Mansion. I felt a bit like the Pied Piper when I looked behind!
On arrival we were welcomed by my Maitre D (whose identity no one managed to capture) and his able Waitress who had obviously worked at The Joe Lyons Corner House Chain in the past. Barbara Bell my Soup El Supremo was confidently in charge of the cauldrons. 10 other members came by car and joined us for lunch which was absolutely fabulous. It was a bit tight but I calculated that there are 11 stairs where we can sit people so we can take more next year!
Many, many thanks for your generosity. Between us we raised £261.00 for the Hospice. Thanks also for your Friendship.
Happy Christmas and see you in the New Year.
Love Jude
