Millar Moss - Carrock Fell

A big responsibility today with a very large group of walkers hitting the high Caldbeck Fells. Keeping count of the other two was difficult as they kept vanishing in the clouds. Those issues aside the walk was pretty good. The weather wasn’t to unkind and waterproofs were worn to a minimum. Coffee in Lingy hut before treking around to Englands newest mountain on Miller Moss before carrying on to High Pike. A quick lunch and then over to Carrock Fell to visit the rubble which is the remains of the Iron Age Fort. Heading back the same way before down Brandy Gill and the old mine workings.

The cloud at times made the views interesting as it moved across the hills giving and taking away from what was visible. A remote area which on the day was very peaceful on the day. Thanks to the guys for their company.
