15 of us met up by the War Memorial at Bardon Mill. Our first stop was to visit the War Graves and church at Beltingam. We continued over fields getting a good glimpse of Ridley Hall away to our left. We then joined the National Trust path where some of us climbed up to visit the Summer House which was “definitely” visited by Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother to sip her G&Ts away from prying eyes!!! The others took the riverside path. On to Plankey Mill for lunch and nuisance drizzle which took away all the views. We have a picture of Tony and his Dressing team assisting him into his waterproofs. The rest of us managed unaided!
A cheerful welcome for us back at The Village Shop and cafe.
