On another stormy day with winds predicted to be 42 mph, 17 of us gathered at Irthington Church. Within a few hundred yards we encountered our first challenge - a very tight kissing gate where most of us had to take off our rucksacks to get through the pinch Point! Despite all the recent rain and winds our route was comparatively good. Meaning ‘a little less mud’ than we expected.
The Sally Inn at Irthington made us most welcome for tea and scones at the end of the walk.
Sorry for lack of photos. The Happy Snapper Brigade weren’t available.”
