Jockey Shield
6.2 Miles Grade 3, Ascent 1269ft
Leader: Mike Coates
Report by Mike Coates
Despite a somewhat unpromising start with rain and a little snow we made our way to Gairs and the mine managers house where we had coffee. We then proceeded along the side of Tarnmonath fell where the path became very muddy.Lunch was at the bridge over the old water. Then we made our way along a good path to the old pumping station at Binney wood. The afternoon had brightened up by then and the rest of the walk was a long the road.A total distance of 6.2m.We then had a refreshing cup of tea at the Duke of Cumberland.
