Carlisle & District Rambling & Fellwalking Club

Walk & Event Reports

As today’s walk was so local and only 6 miles, 12 members Plus Me, met at the carpark off the Dalston Road, junction 42 at the later time of 10.45.  The weather was just perfect for a leisurely walk taking in wonderful views, especially north towards the Borders and the iconic Burns Wark in the far distance.
We spent time at Wreay Museum and graveyard, and more time at Wreay Church.    Thanks to all who knew a bit about the story of The Losh Family and gave us the benefit of their knowledge.  A leisurely lunch and a leisurely walk back.  Interesting to gaze into the very low waters of the Petterill and see Minnows in the clear water.

Thankyou all for making it a lovely day.

Judy.
