Walk & Event Reports

Thirteen of us were happy to set out from High Hesket for a short walk in the dead days of pre-Christmas December. The walk was mostly on quiet roads, with some paths, following the line of the Petteril and the railway. Walks like this are useful when daylight is limited, bad weather possible and conditions wet underfoot. The mountains had snow on the tops; I'm not sure how inviting they looked. Some sunshine would have been welcome. Thanks to Tony for backmarking and to everyone for their excellent and very welcome company.
