After rounding up walkers from the wrong car park and just managing to squeeze all our cars into the right car park 11 of us set off on our circuit of the lake. We were overdue a dry Sunday and by good luck, every square inch of the day was filled with sunshine.
We stopped for lunch at Low Ling Cragg where Jane (new member) took the opportunity for a short wild water swim-sadly the rest of us hadn’t brought swimming gear so just had to sit and watch in awe while munching our butties.
After the recent rain Scale Force was well worth the diversion as the water was pounding over the rocks and plunging down the mountain.
Our favourite coffee shop in Buttermere was closed -but we backtracked down the hill and fortunately Croft House was still open.
The only man on the walk was unusually quiet- now was that because he was back marker or because of the 10 loquacious women who never shut up?
Another great day filled with fun and laughter-Thankyou.
