18 people on today's A walk from Mirehouse on Bassenthwaite to the centre of Cockermouth. A warm welcome to Cathy on her first walk with the club. The walk description said 10.5 miles, though afterwards some walker's gadgets suggested 11.5. It was dry though not sunny, and the ground underfoot was not as wet or muddy as the walk leader anticipated. Some of the views, especially that from Watch Hill were splendid
